About “Unify Donation” App
The Unify Donation App is specifically designed for donors like you who are willing to give back to society. Whether you’re an individual, a family, or a corporate representative, you can start your journey of kindness with just a few taps on your phone.
Flexible donation strategies:
- One-off Donation:
- Support multiple projects at once! You can freely combine donations to different funds (such as General, Maintenance, Mission) and see the fundraising progress in real time. One payment, multi-faceted care.
- Recurring Donation:
- Set up a recurring donation plan (e.g., monthly, semi-annually) with just a few taps.
- You can decide at any time whether to issue a receipt, and the system will clearly show the next payment date and donation history, making your love sustainable.
Supports multiple donation roles:
- Individual donors
- Group donors (e.g. companies, organizations and groups)
- Anonymous donors
Sign Up as member
- Open the [ Unify Donation ] app
- Select your region and beneficiary charity
- Go to the login page
- In the registered donor section, click [ Register ] in the lower left corner of [Login]
- Select your registration type: [ Individual Donor ] / [ Group Donor ]
- Select your verification method: [ Email ] / [ Mobile No. ]
- Enter your [ Email ] / [ Mobile No. ], then tap [ Send Verification Code ]
- Enter the verification code received via email or SMS, and click [ Verify ]
- Fill in and [ Confirm ✓ ] your information
- Successfully registered as a donation member
- 11. Please return to the login page and log in using your registered [ Email ] / [ Mobile ] and [ Password ]
What is the difference between One-off and Recurring donations?
One-time Donation:
- A single, immediate contribution with no long-term commitment. The donor can select any amount to support ONE or MORE event(s). Once completed, there are no further obligations.
- Donation step: Select “One-off Donation” and enter the amount you wish to donate.
Recurring donation:
- This option is available for organizations that accept credit cards. Donors must register as members of the charity to set up recurring donations. You can make donations to only ONE event at a time and modify your settings whenever you like.
- Donation step:
Select [ Recurring Donation ] , make donations to only ONE event at a time and set the donation cycle for recurring donation.
*Only a credit card is available for recurring donation.
Payment Method
We accept donations through various methods, including credit cards, PayPal, FPS, AlipayHK, Alipay, PayMe, cheque, cash, and bank transfer.
Please note that the available payment options are determined by the respective charities.
Step of One-off Donation
Precautions:
- This feature is available to both registered and non-registered members
- You can make donations to ONE or MORE event(s) at the same time
Donation Steps:
- Select country and charity organization
- Log in a registered member account and select [ One-off Donation ]
- Non-registered Members: Select the type of donor [ Individual / Group / Anonymous ]
- Select the donation event and enter the amount you wish to donate (You can make donations to ONE or MORE event(s) at the same time.)
- Fill in Details, enter personal or group information (Applicable only to non-registered members who selected [ Individual / Group ] donor
- Confirm donation details, please ☑️ the box if you need an official receipt
- Select payment methods and tap [ Proceed to Payment ]
- Upload a screenshot of the donation (instead of credit card transaction)
- Tap [ Confirm and Submit ]
- Transaction Complete
- Once the payment is confirmed, an official receipt will be sent to your email address
Step of Recurring Donation
Precautions:
- Recurring Donation is available to registered members only
- You can make recurring donations to only one event at the same time
- Only credit card is available for recurring donations
Donation Steps:
- Select country and charity organization
- Sign in a registered member account and select [ Recurring Donation ]
- Select the donation event and enter the amount you wish to donate (You can make recurring donations to only one event at the same time.)
- You will have to set the Donation Cycle
- Confirm donation details, please ☑️ the box if you need an official receipt
- The system defaults to credit card payment methods, tap [ Proceed to Payment ]
- Select credit card (if you have more than one credit card)
- Tap [ Confirm and Submit ]
- Once the payment is confirmed, an official receipt will be sent to your email address
Can I make a donation anonymously?
Yes, the system allows anonymous donations.
Precautions:
- Non-registered members and anonymous donors may only make a one-time donation
- You can make donations to ONE or MORE event(s) at the same time
Donation Steps:
- Select country and charity organization
- Under “Donate without Registering”, choose [ Anonymous ] and tap [ Next ]
- Select the donation event and enter the amount you wish to donate. (You can make donations to ONE or MORE event(s) at the same time.)
- Confirm donation details
*Anonymous cannot choose to receive receipt - Select payment methods, and tap [ Proceed to Payment ]
- Upload a screenshot of the donation
- Tap [ Confirm and Submit ]
- Complete donation
Donation Receipt
Both registered and non-registered members can apply for an official receipt when making a donation.
- If you are a registered member and apply for an official receipt when making a donation, the system will send the receipt to your registered email address after the payment is confirmed. Under Hong Kong law, donations of HK$100 or more made to charitable institutions recognized under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance are eligible for tax deduction with a valid receipt.
Anonymous Donations
- If you make an anonymous donation, you will not be able to apply for a receipt due to the lack of sufficient and valid donor information, such as name and contact details.
How to modify a Recurring Donation Plan
You can edit the details of your recurring donation plan as needed.
Please follow the step as below:
- Sign in to your registered member account and select the pink [ Recurring Donation ] icon from the bottom navigation bar
- Tap the [ Pencil ] icon next to the selected regular donation plan
- Edit the information in the fields
- Editable fields include:
- Amount
- Donation Cycle
- End Date
- Payee
- Credit Card
- Once you have finished editing, tap the green [ Save ] icon in the bottom right corner
Cancel / Delete / Restore Regular Donation Program
You may Cancel, Delete, or Restore your recurring donation plan at any time.
Please follow the steps below:
- After logging in, tap the pink [ Recurring Donation ] icon from the bottom navigations
- Cancel a recurring Plan:
- Tap the [ Archive ] icon on the plan you wish to stop
- Confirm to Cancel and Archive
- Delete a recurring Plan:
- Tap the [ Archive Box ] icon at the bottom right of the screen
- Find and select the donation plan within the specific Year/Month
- Tap the [ Trash Can ] icon on the selected plan
- Confirm to Permanently Delete
- How to Reactivate a Plan
- Tap the [ Archive Box ] icon at the bottom right of the screen
- Find and select the donation plan within the specific Year/Month
- Tap the green [ Restore ] icon on the selected plan
- Confirm to Reactivate
How to View / Update my Profile
- Sign in to your member account and select the pale blue [ My account ] icon from the bottom navigations
- View your profile
- Tap the blue [ Pencil ] icon in the bottom right corner
- Edit the information in the fields
- Editable fields include:
- Name
- Email address
- Country / Region
- Mobile phone
- Address
- Notification setting
- Once you have finished editing, tap the green [ Save ] icon in the bottom right corner
View Recent / Past donation records
Every donation is recorded in detail. Check historical donations by date, view different donation methods (Cash/Card, etc.), and manage archived or completed recurring plans. Every cent is traceable and accountable.
Please follow the steps below:
- Sign in to your registered member account and select the brown [ Donation Record ] icon from the bottom navigation bar
- Select your recent or past donation records by year and month
- Open the donation record to view information, including the latest status and the payment method used (Cash/Credit Card, etc.)
Can donation receipts be used for local tax refunds?
Yes.
Once you have registered as a member of the charity and requested an official receipt when making a donation, the system will send the donation receipt to your registered email address after confirming receipt of the funds.
Under Hong Kong law, donations of HK$100 or more made to charitable institutions recognized under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance are eligible for tax deduction with a valid receipt.
Can I donate to more than one charity?
Yes. You can donate to multiple organizations. Simply select the charity organization you wish to support on the main page and register as a member to start donating.
You may also choose to donate as a non-registered user [ Individual / Group / Anonymous ]
Organizations you have successfully registered with will be automatically added to the [ Bookmark ] page, making it faster and easier to support the causes you care about.
Can I quickly switch to my most frequently supported Churches/Charities?
You can use one of the system’s features, the [Favorites] tab, to browse frequently visited charties/churches:
- Open the [ Unify Donation ] app
- Select your region and beneficiary charity
- Go to the login page
- At the top of the page, check the white [ Building ] icon to the right of the charity/church’s name. The icon will turn yellow, indicating that you have bookmarked this charity/church
- You can access the “Bookmark” page at any time via the yellow [ Building ] icon at the bottom of the page to quickly log in to your favorite charity/church and make donations
Are credit card information stored in the System / Application?
The payment system within the app is managed by regulated third-party electronic payment service providers. Unify Donation only keeps a record of the cards you have used for your convenience, but we do not store any personal or sensitive credit card data on our servers.
Will donors be charged any payment transaction fees?
Unify Donation does not charge any administrative fees.
All transaction fees for donations made through our system are covered by the beneficiary charities using our services. These fees are clearly outlined during the charity’s service application process.
*Where applicable, donors may be given a voluntary option to cover the transaction fee as an additional contribution. Such arrangements are mutually agreed upon between the charity and the donor, and are entirely independent of Unify Donation’s services.
Why did my donation fail?
Donation failures are usually related to unstable network connections or payment authorization issues.
Please first check your bank or e-wallet transaction history. If funds have been deducted but you have not received a confirmation email, please contact the beneficiary charity as soon as possible for follow-up and assistance.
Request a refund
Donations go directly to your selected charity. Unify Donation acts only as an intermediary, we do not receive funds or process refunds.
To request a refund, please contact the charity directly with your transaction info. All refund decisions and processing are the sole responsibility of the charity involved.
Change display language
- Select the green [ Settings ] icon from the bottom navigation bar
- Tap [ Language ]
- Select the language you want to change
- Once you have finished editing, tap the green [ Save ] icon in the bottom right corner
Forget the password
If you have forgot password, please following the steps to reset:
- Select your region and beneficiary charity
- Tap [ Next ]
- On Church/Charity login page, tap [ Forgot Password ]
- Provide the email address or mobile no. when registered
- Tap [ CONTINUE > ] button to proceed
- Our system will send a reset password email to your email address or SMS to your mobile no.
- Type in the “Verification Code”
- Tap [ Submit ] to proceed
- Type in the new password
- Type again to confirm
- Tap the [ Reset Password ] button in the bottom right corner
- The screen displays “Success! You have successfully reset your password.”
- Please return to the login page and log in again using your new password
Edit / Reset your password
Please following the steps to edit/reset your password:
- Sign in to your member account and select the pale blue [ My account ] icon from the bottom navigations
- In [ My account ] page, tap the blue [ Pencil ] icon on the bottom right corner
- Enter your new password in the [ Enter New Password ] field
- Enter the same new password again in the [ Confirm New Password ] field
- Tap the [ Save ] button in the bottom right corner
- The screen displays “Success! You have successfully reset your password.”
- Please return to the login page and log in again using your new password
